SPILL GUARD
CHARACTERISTICS AND FEATURES:  Spill Guard has been developed especially for spills of arterial and cavity fluids in funeral homes.  It will immediately neutralise the formaldehyde and glutaraldehyde in those spills so that no additional harmful vapors can be produced.  Spills can then be safely flushed away or soaked up depending on local regulations.  Spill Guard contains no regulated chemicals.  A slight, but not objectionable, ammonia odor may be noticed when the container is opened, especially in warm conditions.  Spill Guard is not designed to neutralize phenols or chlorinated hydrocarbons.

HOW TO USE THE FLUID:  Pour Spill Guard around and directly onto the spill being careful not to splash or spread the spill excessively.  Each gallon of Spill Guard contains enough neutralizer for 2 1/2 pints of a 36 index embalming fluid; spills of lower index fluids require proportionally less Spill Guard.  Most areas of the country will allow the neutralized material to be flushed to the sewer.  If not, the neutralized spill usually can be soaked up with absorbent, allowed to dry, and placed in the biohazard bag or normal trash.
