VIS-O-GUARD II
CHARACTERISTICS AND FEATURES: For those who prefer a little
thicker autopsy fluid Viso Guard II is the answer. Similar to Viso Guard
I this 16 index version holds to tissue better when applied by brush or
cotton swab. This ability to cling to the body surfaces gives Viso Guard
II an advantage over other cavity fluids when extended intimate contact
with the tissues is desired. This allows for deep penetration by the preservatives.
Viso Guard II should be applied to cavity walls, bed sores, and skin slip
using a brush or cotton swab. It can then be covered with plastic or cloth
to force the fumes into the tissue and hold down disagreeable vapors.
HOW TO USE THE FLUID: In the case of viscera treatment,
the viscera should be sliced to break up thick tissue masses and then treated
with 2 or more pints of Viso Guard II. Work the fluid into the tissue,
cover the container, and let the viscera ``cook" in the fluid until needed.
Viso Guard II can also be used as a regular cavity fluid. 2 to 3 pints
can be added to the cavity areas after thorough aspiration.
